I am currently exploring repetition. Whether that be a motif, objects that are curated and collected, patterns in nature or trends that are recycled, I find myself drawn to multiples. I am interested in how the likeness can bring both familiarity and comfort as well as a chaos of abundance. My process involves compiling images that will make their way into my work. I reference both contemporary and historical objects and motifs, considering the time they were made and the social and economic situation in which they have been used. My compositions, color choice, and medium are derived from fashion, textile and interior design of the teens and twenties. These works were often pochoirs, that used a great deal of patterns and were printed in saturated colors of gouache. I am also influenced by Japanese woodcuts in their use of pattern and space.

My recent works depict historical wallpapers in a state of decay. They are shown as peeling papers revealing the layers underneath. I think of each wallpaper holding a narrative of the years or decades in a room, the pattern and colors being a description of this time period. I feel that printmaking acts as the ideal medium for these works as the papers were originally manufactured with traditional printmaking techniques.
